In 1910, in Ipswich, Arthur married Clara Jane Moss, September 1880, Norwich, Norfolk – daughter of Emma Moss – in 1910, Emma Moss married George Kemp, a motor smith, and they made their family home at 22 & 24, Wykes Bishop Street, Ipswich.

Clara and her mother, Emma Moss lived with her maternal grandparents – Robert Allington Moss, a cabman and groom, and Mary Moss (nee Waiter), of Heigham, Norfolk.
