In 1940, Ipswich, Donald married Constance Ada Clarke, a cinema cashier, born June 1915, Ipswich – daughter of Alfred George Clarke, a greengrocer – own account, and Ada Louise Clarke (nee Chilver), of 82, Ranelagh Road, Ipswich.
Probate to Charles Blundell Goymer – father, a Locomotive Foreman & Constance Ada Goymer – widow.
Donald is also remembered on the war memorial at the Town Hall, Ipswich and St. Mary at Stoke Church, Ipswich.
7th October 1941
Aircraft: Airspeed Oxford I V3947, collided mid-air with Oxford V3947 at R.A.F. Station Lyneham during a training flight. Donald was killed. His fellow crew members of V3947 survived. The pilot of V3145, Pilot Officer Terence Ellis Wade, R.A.A.F., also survived.
