James’s mother, Emily Mannall, died on the 27^th November 1904, at 114, Cavendish Street, Ipswich and was buried on the 3^rd December in Section R, Ipswich Old Cemetery.

James’ father, James Walker Mannall, a stevedore, and son of Thomas Mannall, died on the 23^rd August 1917, at his residence, 3 Cavendish Street, Ipswich and was buried with Emily at Section R, Ipswich Old Cemetery.

James married Margaret, born 1879, County Cork, Ireland.

Margaret and James had three children:

Emily Matilda Mannall, born December 1907, Ipswich.

James Edward Mannall, born May 1910, St. Patrick’s, Cork, Ireland.

Florence Ellen Mannall, born June 1913, Shandon, Ireland.

James is also remembered on the war memorial at Holy Trinity Church, Ipswich.
