In 1940, in Ipswich, Wilfred married Vera Maud Blumfield, a tailoress, born May 1914, Ipswich – daughter of Henry William Blumfield, a foundry labourer, and Harriett Blumfield (nee Cook), of 23, Cobbold Street, Ipswich.
Wilfred is remembered by Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies with entrance gates, dedicated in May 1958, at Ransomes Sports’ Centre, Sidegate Avenue, Ipswich.
